Long Live the Local
Long Live The Local campaigns on behalf of the UK’s pubs and breweries to fight for a strong and thriving sector. Over the last two years the campaign has fought for, and secured, consecutive freezes to beer duty, with over 300,000 people adding their name to our petitions and more than 180,000 writing to their MP. In addition, 25,000 pubs have actively supported the campaign. Right now, the campaign is helping restore customer confidence in pubs following the COVID-19 closure. Whilst many pub goers are understandably nervous to return to their local pub, it’s vital for both pubs and breweries that they do, as beer and pubs are two sides of the same coin. The campaign encourages people to visit their local pub to help It get back on Its feet. It reminds pub goers of the great beer, food, atmosphere and community spirt they have missed during lockdown and highlights what pubs are doing to ensure the safety of their customers.
