The Great British Pub Awards

How to Enter

The Entry Deadline for the 2010 Awards has now passed.

Paper judgingtook took place on Thursday 3rd June. If you are successful at this stage you will be contacted by our on-the-road judging team and a site visit to your pub will be arranged. These will take place throughout June and July.

All finalists will be invited to the awards night on Thursday 9 September and you will be informed in writing in late July/early August whether you have made it through to the final round. If you have any queries with regards to the judging process or with regards to entering next year please contact Stephanie Smallwood on 01293 610323 or email stephanie.smallwood@william-reed.co.uk

Entry Guidelines

Please complete a separate entry form for each category you wish to enter. Please also include all required contact details and answer every question. Remember your entry will be judged amongst hundreds of others, therefore you need to make the entry as attractive, ‘user-friendly' and as easy-to-read as possible.

Any additional material such as pictures, testimonials, newspaper cuttings, reviews, menus, and flyers can also be very helpful in supporting your entry so please feel free to send these in. Please clearly label all your supporting documents and remember first impressions count! However, please note that we are unable to return these documents unless specifically requested.

If you run out of space on your entry form, you may also submit additional type written entries, but please limit this to two sides of A4 per category and remember to clearly mark these sheets with your name and your pub's name.

To help you here are some do's and don'ts:

Do

1. Write in black clear writing
2. Include supporting evidence in colour where possible
3. If providing additional sheets please type your entry making sure
everything is clearly labelled
4. Complete contact details including email
5. Enter as many categories as you can!

Don't
1. Staple your entries together
2. Use plastic wallets for each piece of paper (this makes it difficult for
us to process your entry forms for the judges)
3. Please don't attach your supporting documents to the entry forms
(again this makes processing difficult)
4. Send your entries separately - one envelope for all your entries is
fine. This is also makes it cheaper and less time consuming for you!
